Gigagoniophilis

Description: One of the largest crocodilians on Draconine, it seems to be one of the rarest with only about 3 sightings of it.  Its unique armor system has scutes like crocodilians but also have smaller spikes running alongside the side and down the middle of the back.  They live in deep waters where they stalk large dinosaurs, wyverns, drakes, large reptiles, fish, birds, mammals, other crocodilians, large amphibians, and scavenge any dead animal near the water's edge. They are only distantly related to the much smaller Goniopholis and juveniles have been seen living amongst groups of them where they wait and feed on what is left of the bigger croc's kill.  During mating season, it's behavior is very similar to that of alligators on Earth but both parents watch over the nest and carry the young down to the water's edge.  Despite being large, it is still hunted by Spinosaurus and older individuals bear scars and even missing parts of the tail and legs from encounters with the giant.  They live well over 200 years of age.
